The golf season
Tourism Vernon lists the local golf season as April to October. Predator Ridge opened its 2026 season on 8 April, its 35th. North Okanagan courses don't all open at once. In 2026 Spallumcheen opened first on 5 March, followed by Vernon Golf & Country Club (19 March), Hillview (1 April), The Rise (3 April), Predator Ridge (8 April) and Overlander (15 April). Predator sits higher than the valley-bottom courses, so it tends to open a little later.

Fall 2026: Golftoberfest and closing
The resort's fall program for 2026 is the 16th annual Golftoberfest, 1 to 17 October, with fall rounds advertised from $99. The resort's page lists 17 October 2026 as the last day of public play, with 11:00 shotgun starts only from 13 to 17 October. One course runs 28 September to 2 October while the other is aerated. The same page also says "both courses close September 30," which conflicts with the rest of the schedule. We read it as one course closing, but check with the golf shop before you plan a late-season trip.

These are 10-year averages (2016–2025) for the course's coordinates, from Open-Meteo's historical archive. That archive is based on a reanalysis model, not an on-site weather station, so treat it as a guide.

What that means for your round: July and August are the warmest and driest months, and the ball flies farthest when it's hot (our carry calculator shows how temperature adds to the altitude effect). April and October mornings are cool enough that a frost delay is possible, so a mid-morning tee time is often the smarter booking. For a live read on the next two days, use the tee-time weather tool.
Wildfire season
Smoke is a real factor in Okanagan summers. On 1 August 2026, the Bradley Creek wildfire jumped Highway 97 at the north end of Okanagan Lake, and the whole Okanagan Indian Band IR1 reserve was evacuated. Practice facilities
The practice facility was designed by Doug Carrick, the architect of the Ridge Course. According to the resort it has:
- grass tees with Toptracer technology, which tracks your ball flight on a screen
- target greens
- a short-game area and a chipping area
- two putting greens
The resort also lists golf simulators under its activities, which are handy on a rainy or smoky day. Check current hours and fees with the golf shop.

Lessons, clinics & juniors
The resort's Academy offers clinics and lesson packages with PGA professionals, plus club fittings with a Master Fitter. The resort has added instructors including former LPGA player A.J. Eathorne and former PGA Tour winner Richard (Dick) Zokol. The Director of Golf in 2026 is Brodie Carle.
For serious juniors, the RINK Golf Academy is a high-performance program for students in grades 9 to 12 who are aiming at college golf.
The PGA of BC has recognised the golf staff several times. The shop was 2023 Golf Shop of the Year (Interior) and won the Ben Colk Provincial Shop of the Year. Kyla Inaba (Interior) and Alvie Thompson (Provincial) were 2023 Teachers of the Year. In 2016 the shop won Golf Shop of the Year and Brodie Carle was Teacher of the Year.

Membership types (link out)
According to the resort's membership page, the options are:
- Homeowner Membership, for Predator Ridge owners only
- Transferable Club Membership, open to anyone
- Junior (ages 12–18) and Student (19–25)
Listed perks include priority booking, shared cart, practice access, up to 20% off food, beverage and the shop, play for children and grandchildren under 18 when accompanied, and reciprocal access at seven clubs (Hollyburn, Terminal City, The Vancouver Club, Vancouver Lawn Tennis, Calgary Petroleum Club, Royal Glenora and 10XTO). In summer there's a free Monday bocce league for homeowners and members. Prices aren't published. Ask the membership office.
